Team work Lu & Ed style

My dear crafty friend, Cody, of Lu & Ed gets faced with requests that she herself cannot make. It is a hard thing to tell one of you awesome fans I can not make what you are seek after. I will continue to do my best to refer you to whom I know to fill your needs. But Cody...well she came up with a most genius idea and it helps out a GREAT local cause. Welcome Cody.

Thank you Kelly. And as you said, I love it when customers ask for new products, but sometimes I can't always fill those requests.

Enter Team Lu & Ed.

I keep a list of customer suggestions. One day I was looking at that list and decided I need to do something about it - so I started reaching out to other artists who I admire for their talent and positive personalities to collaborate with to fulfill those suggestions!

Collaborating is such a wonderful experience. I love working with other artists to make unique, limited edition products and I hope that you enjoy seeing what we scheme up together! Together, me and the artists I am teaming up with are changing the world - proceeds from each Team Lu & Ed product are donated to charity!

Team Lu & Ed proudly supports Drumm Farm Center for Children, with as much as 100% from Team Lu & Ed products going directly to the group home environment for children in the Missouri foster care system in Kansas City, where I call home. ♥ The other percentage of funds from items goes directly back to the artist I collaborated with. I don't keep a penny of the money from Team Lu & Ed, I invest it all back into the local community and helping make the lives of children in the foster care system more happy and wonderful!

Here is a run down on currently active collaborations & products you can find in my shop

Cari from TheMollieShop.com makes incredible fur haired fabric dolls & perfectly pleasant handmade fabric fabric hair bows! I was thrilled when she designed two types of bows - a ribbon/bottlecap bow and a fabric bow - to represent Team Lu & Ed! Cari graciously donates 100% of the proceeds from these bows to charity through Team Lu & Ed!

This winter Cari & I launched ten fabric, fur hair Mollie Dollies made in Team Lu & Ed colors -  with 50% going to Team Lu & Ed! The dolls flew off the shelves and there are just a few left!

They were a huge hit, almost totally selling out before the holidays and now there is only a couple left available on clearance in my shop! Scoop one up - $7 from the purchase price goes to charity through Team Lu & Ed!
Kelly of Kiser Krafts is a multi-medium artist who creates sock animals and crochet wear. She has designed an adorable crochet Gabos Mon-stor hat! There will only ten of these limited edition Mon-stor hats available, each one made to order, with 50% from the sales price donated to charity through Team Lu & Ed -  and there's only four left! EEK! Decorate Mon-storously this season!

I love decorating the tree at the Christmas season. And I love, love, love these darling handmade monster ornaments. There are only a few left and they help out a very good local, Kansas City, cause. I asked Cody, the owner of Lu & Ed, to write up a bit about them for me to share with my amazing followers. I am proud to hand over my blog to Cody...welcome Cody. Thank you for joining us to share about your Mon-storous way to decorate!

Here's to a Monstrous Holiday Season!

Remember my Team Lu & Ed project I started earlier this year? Basically I take customer suggestions, and turn them into a reality by collaborating with other artists! I love working with others and Team Lu & Ed opens up so many new possibilities for my little shop, plus I get to know some really incredible people.

And today, I want to introduce you to one if those really incredible people, the latest member of Team Lu & Ed - Danielle of Squshies! I have worked with Danielle to turn my cute mascot Gabos into a limited edition holiday ornament, which is now available for pre-order in my shop!. There will only be ten ornaments created, and once they are gone they are gone!

But you know what is even more awesome? 50% of the sales price of the ornaments will be donated to Drumm Farm, a home for children and young adults in the Missouri foster care system. So your Mon-stor ornament purchase will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Once the last ornament sells, we will donate $110 to Drumm Farm to help make the holidays a little more magical for all of the residents!

And you know what else is pretty cool?! You can have the date sewn onto Gabos' backside to make it uber special!

So please feel free to head HERE to order your very own to adorn your tree this year!! ☺

Make a difference with a Doll

One of the best parts of being a crafter is other crafters around me. I love when we band together to make something wonderful to help others in need around us. Toys should make childhood colorful & fun - and I like to think that is exactly what the latest Team Lu & Ed products do! And each one is cuter then the last! ☺

The Mollie Shop teamed up with Lu & Ed to create ten handmade, one of a kind fabric dolls for kids, which launched today in Lu & Ed's shop! Each one reps Team Lu & Ed by wearing the easily recognizable Team Lu & Ed colors: bright red, bright blue, chartreuse, tangerine and sunshine yellow!  These dolls are available here.

Each adorable dollie has their own name, personality and story, and will be making a difference in the lives of children in Kansas City, Missouri - $20 from the purchase of each doll will be donated to Drumm Farm Center for Children, a group home for children in foster care in Kansas City!

How can you help?  All purchases of Team Lu & Ed products will benefit children in need, but you can also help without spending a penny by spreading the Team Lu & Ed mission to use artistic collaborations to bring joy to the children in need of big smiles! In addition to these radical dolls, there is also limited edition art prints, Christmas ornaments and hair accessories by various artists in the Team Lu & Ed collection. A portion of the proceeds from each benefits Drumm Farm! Here is the link for Team Lu & Ed products. Tweet it, Facebook it, G+ it, blog about it - every little bit helps and Team Lu & Ed members will give you mucho love and big virtual hugs! ♥

A Mon-stor helps others

I love monsters!! And I LOVE Lu & Ed Mon-stors the most!!

Now please pardon my horrible, awful cell phone self-taken picture of my EPIC bow in my hair, but I have to show you how great it looks in my hair!

I LOVE it!!! It is sparkly and fun! While I was out this morning, I received three compliments! And you know how that makes a women feel...GREAT! So I have to share!

Now here is the great part about this bow...the profits go to help a wonderful local Kansas City cause.

Here is Lu & Ed explaining: "100% from the sale of this bow goes to charity. Currently I am donating to Drumm Farm Center for Children, a foster care group home environment in Missouri. http://drummforkids.org/  This monstrously adorable handmade bow was created just for Lu & Ed's smallest, cutest fans by Cari of The Mollie Shop! The little specks on this bottle cap are sparkles! They shine like crazy in the sun!" So head over to Lu & Ed and help a great cause and receive an EPIC Mon-stor #handmade bow!
