Favorite tool - photo prompt

I decided to join in on this new photo a day challenge that is being hosted by Lu & Ed!! You can join in the fun any time. I really love how this stretches my creative juices!! Read more about it HERE on her blog!

Today's #creativedaily photo prompt is 'favorite tool' - Here is my favorite tool - my Sony a100. I tell you I really debated on this prompt. I have so many amazing things - tools- I use everyday that are really helpful to making my life better - aka: dishwasher, scissors, computer, phone, T.V., hooks, thread & needle, etc. But my camera...captures more then just my sock creations.

It captures moments of 'life' that is zipping past so fast that I do not want to forget. My toddlers are growing up so fast!!! It is so hard to believe Little Miss is going to be four and Little Monster will be two! I am so thankful I have been able to snap still shots of them. Do you have a photo you are so glad you were able to capture? What is it of?? Would you please share??

Rope in your Baskets

2014 Resolution - Organize!!! My craft corner is like a 'tor-hurd-i-quake' happened. I need to organize and return things to order. So, I was surfing around to find solutions to help me organize my craft supplies and I found out my friend Magda, of Twisted Thread and Hook, is making a whole new item for her EPIC shop!! Baskets!! Rope Baskets! How sturdy and function-able!

I asked her to share with me a bit more about this new line in her shop. Welcome Magda!!!

Thank you, Kelly. Are you starting this year trying to organize your house? It's a never ending task for me. Recently, I redesigned my office space with a wall full of shelves, drawers, and cubbies. However, the cubbies came out smaller than I expected and I could not find a basket that would fit them right.

I've set on this issue for a while, and then it occurred to me! I had a few boxes of cotton cording/rope that I originally planned to use for my rugs. However, I decided it was not a good fit for rugs, but ends up it's perfect for baskets.

They are soft, yet, they hold the shape very well. They even have handles so it's easy to pull them out of the cubbies.

They can very easily be used on a shelf to organize craft supplies or toys. I can make custom sizes too so they can fit your cubby just right! You can purchase your own in my SHOP.

Thank you so much for sharing your new line with us!!! Your baskets do inspire one to organize! I also think they make a wonderful decoration in a home.

Handmade Mania week 12

Whoa! Time really flew for me these last couple of weeks. I do apologize for dropping off the grid. I lost my Grandmother suddenly and my world, well, sorta sped up but slowed way down. I had to get things finished and pack everyone up to head up to be with extended family. And the children and I stayed on through the holidays. Rabbit, hubby, joined us when his work break permitted. It was a joyous holiday with family, even with the loss of Grandmama. Thank you for understanding the why behind my disappearance.
Now onto the new week - the FIRST Handmade Mania week in 2014! Happy New Year! Happy fresh slate, new start, and new beginnings! So here are the features from Handmade Mania week 11:
