A Crafting Queen has retired...

A princess and the Queen.

This is my late Grandmama. She was a tower of strength and endurance. She was born August 8, 1928 and passed away from natural causes December 13, 2013.

I do apologize for going a bit quiet on all of my social medias, store, and here on the blog. This news hit me hard...it is still hard. She was the 'go-to' crafting adviser for when my Mom did not know. Grandmama taught my Mother, and my Mother taught me...and one day I plan on teaching my Little Miss as much as I can.

She married her sweetheart and crafted through all of her years.

She had a sewing business where she specialized in slip covers for furniture but I know her for her doll making. She was a wonderful doll maker. And I have many of her creations.

She made me my own family...they are tiny tiny dolls with tiny tiny hand stitches. So much love went into this gift for one of my birthdays.

She created so many dolls for so many family and friends. And the fun part was many of her patterns she created. Other then my marriage papers, I never thought slips of paper could mean so much. She gave me all of her hand-written, manufactured, and published doll patterns. What a priceless gift.

I am so excited to buy supplies and give doll making a try. It is an honor to be given so many great gifts from my Grandmama. She was full of sass and words of wisdom.

I love you and miss you already Grandmama. Thank you for being the 'crafting' guide I needed.

A Family and Hair bow

Happy Day to you!!! I'd like to share with you some EPIC gifts I have ordered this past Cyber Monday.

A family. Landon's Toy Box makes the most adorable Peg People!! I was able buy two exclusive 2013 elves and this small Nativity play set. I am super impressed with all of them! And both of my children enjoy them. I can see more peg people in my families future.

A Hair bow. Violet's Buds makes the most adorable hair accessories. And this bow matches the dress I am currently sewing for my daughter. I am so pleased with the quality and care that is obvious. She really makes wearing a flower in your hair wonderful!!

If you are looking for a family or a bow - these are the two places to go to. Both have great customer service and fast service! Very personable!

'Red'

Happy December 1st!!! Today's #FMSPhotoaDay prompt is 'red'. Well...unplanned my whole family was wearing red clothes today. And I didn't realize it until after the kids were into their pj's and off to bed.

So here is me hiding behind my EPIC huge 'red' cowled neck sweater. I love this sweater so much! My younger brother picked it out for me one Christmas. He has great taste!! Because my husband also likes me in this sweater too. ☺ I love when everyone is happy!
