#StorenvyFlash30 sale

HI! Last year Kiser Krafts was part of a group huge sale, and just found out the shop, Kiser Krafts, will be again part of this EPIC awesome way to save money on Christmas gifts! While I am not the host, I wanted to share some information about it  here.

This is a group of indie shops grouping together to make Cyber Monday, 12/1/14, a huge savings day. There will be more then 50 Storenvy shops running this 30% off their entire shop! That a huge! I mean HUGE! I am so excited to be able to buy the gifts I need during this amazing sale from other small businesses. You can read more about ALL the shops involved on the host's, Lu & Ed, blog: HERE

Vacation...relaxing away from home.

Hi! I went quiet. And to be honest, I am so glad. I was really tired, stressed, and run down. A break, a serious break was needed.
I have enjoyed a zoo in Madison, parks, family time, playing at my parents home, and more. Mostly unplugged from the internet and being in the moment of time with my children and family members.

I have had the honor and privilege to watch my Mom work with both of my children. And see them flourish into excited learners!
She has encouraged Little Miss to write, and Little Monster to play and talk.
We celebrated 4th of July with family and enjoyed beautiful weather. My husband and I failed to see the evenings fireworks display due to an accident at the near by park.
Our Little Monster fell off a park slide and gained a buckle break on his left wrist. He was a champ, barely crying, but acted far from normal. So off we went to the ER. He is recovering nicely and is due to have his blue cast off later on today.
And we have been excited to watch and learn about Grandma's(Mom's) caterpillar turning into a moth or butterfly. We are not sure which it will be as we found him in the backyard.
And lastly for now, we celebrated Little Miss' 4th birthday. She is grew up so fast. Her smile gets brighter everyday and she cheers this Momma's heart daily. We had cake and presents on the Saturday before her birthday with just Papa, Grandma, brother, and I. Then, we went out to Chucky Cheese for lunch the next afternoon.
Surprisingly, she had the honor to meet the main mouse and take a few photographs. He even handed out free tickets, to which, she was able to get the swirly straw she wanted. A very exciting and fun birthday, exactly what a 4 years needs.
Vacation...yes, it has been busy and almost a month long. But it has been refreshing, enjoyable, fun, and blessed. I still more to do on my list before I head home next week, not sure if I'll time to share the goings ons but I will update you when I return home for sure. Happy summer!

Try it Thursday with Violet's Buds

I am so happy to have a guest this week teaching us how to make our very own hoop art!! I had the privilege of her teaching me in person!! It was so enjoyable to be able to keep a outfit of my sons in such a wonderful way! Welcome Melanie!

Thank you Kelly. It is hard to believe that next month my little baby will be four years old! I'm sure I'm not alone with wanting to keep baby clothes, especially the ones with sentimental value. Rather than leaving everything packed in a box, I wanted to do something special with some of her clothes and turn it into wall art for her room. The process is fairly easy, but the hardest part for me was actually cutting up the clothes!

"The Accident" design from Threadless
I selected one of my favorite onesies to turn into hoop art. I bought this design while I was pregnant so she could match her daddy. Here they are when she was around 1 years old in their coordinating shirts.

Team work Lu & Ed style

My dear crafty friend, Cody, of Lu & Ed gets faced with requests that she herself cannot make. It is a hard thing to tell one of you awesome fans I can not make what you are seek after. I will continue to do my best to refer you to whom I know to fill your needs. But Cody...well she came up with a most genius idea and it helps out a GREAT local cause. Welcome Cody.

Thank you Kelly. And as you said, I love it when customers ask for new products, but sometimes I can't always fill those requests.

Enter Team Lu & Ed.

I keep a list of customer suggestions. One day I was looking at that list and decided I need to do something about it - so I started reaching out to other artists who I admire for their talent and positive personalities to collaborate with to fulfill those suggestions!

Collaborating is such a wonderful experience. I love working with other artists to make unique, limited edition products and I hope that you enjoy seeing what we scheme up together! Together, me and the artists I am teaming up with are changing the world - proceeds from each Team Lu & Ed product are donated to charity!

Team Lu & Ed proudly supports Drumm Farm Center for Children, with as much as 100% from Team Lu & Ed products going directly to the group home environment for children in the Missouri foster care system in Kansas City, where I call home. ♥ The other percentage of funds from items goes directly back to the artist I collaborated with. I don't keep a penny of the money from Team Lu & Ed, I invest it all back into the local community and helping make the lives of children in the foster care system more happy and wonderful!

Here is a run down on currently active collaborations & products you can find in my shop

Cari from TheMollieShop.com makes incredible fur haired fabric dolls & perfectly pleasant handmade fabric fabric hair bows! I was thrilled when she designed two types of bows - a ribbon/bottlecap bow and a fabric bow - to represent Team Lu & Ed! Cari graciously donates 100% of the proceeds from these bows to charity through Team Lu & Ed!

This winter Cari & I launched ten fabric, fur hair Mollie Dollies made in Team Lu & Ed colors -  with 50% going to Team Lu & Ed! The dolls flew off the shelves and there are just a few left!

They were a huge hit, almost totally selling out before the holidays and now there is only a couple left available on clearance in my shop! Scoop one up - $7 from the purchase price goes to charity through Team Lu & Ed!
Kelly of Kiser Krafts is a multi-medium artist who creates sock animals and crochet wear. She has designed an adorable crochet Gabos Mon-stor hat! There will only ten of these limited edition Mon-stor hats available, each one made to order, with 50% from the sales price donated to charity through Team Lu & Ed -  and there's only four left! EEK! Scoop yours up now to keep your noggin warm!

Holly of Landon's Toy Box is a wood artist who makes ecofriendly hand painted wooden peg people action figures for kids to play with! She made ten limited edition Gabos Peggies and is donating 50% to charity through Team Lu & Ed!

Brittany of Little Green Guy is a multi-media artist who works in water color, sculpting and plush making to create adorable little monster art pieces! She took the concept of my branding and created a unique water color painting which we are offering limited edition prints of that are on sale for $8 off! A Family and Hair bow

Happy Day to you!!! I'd like to share with you some EPIC gifts I have ordered this past Cyber Monday.

A family. Landon's Toy Box makes the most adorable Peg People!! I was able buy two exclusive 2013 elves and this small Nativity play set. I am super impressed with all of them! And both of my children enjoy them. I can see more peg people in my families future.

A Hair bow. Violet's Buds makes the most adorable hair accessories. And this bow matches the dress I am currently sewing for my daughter. I am so pleased with the quality and care that is obvious. She really makes wearing a flower in your hair wonderful!!

If you are looking for a family or a bow - these are the two places to go to. Both have great customer service and fast service! Very personable!

'Wet' - that it is...

Today's #FMSPhotoaDay prompt is 'wet' and I tell you that was perfect for today. It started out raining...and rained through out the whole day to even right this moment.

Dot Bunny kept looking out the porch door to see if he could go out to play or not. The moment I caught it had just begun to pour again. Poor Dot...he was stuck inside all day.

And I have failed to share the last couple of photos for #FMSPhotoaDay. So the following is the ones I missed sharing.

10/29 - 'hair'

A lion's mane to be exact...now the photo I am sharing is the lion waiting for her mane to sewn on...all her hair is in the background in a huge pile. It takes a fair amount of 'hair' to make a Penny's Pet lion mane.

10/28 - 'Just for you'

SO this one is 'Just for YOU' Kiser Krafts fans!! Here is Birthday Ryan Lion. Kiser Krafts will be turning 1 on November 5th. I made this #socklion to giveaway to celebrate Kiser Krafts' birthday! So this is just a 'sneak-peak'...be ready to see him fully closer to the birthday.

10/27 - 'Peaceful'

I took this picture last week of my son taking his nap and it was a peaceful time. Did you know naps are best when they are not in your own bed? Yeah, I didn't either. He is such a sweetie. I moved him after I took the picture.

 10/26 - 'Depth of Field'

I was busy working on a tailor job for a Halloween Hunter Caplet. And Hester was watching my every move. I was able to catch this picture of him while at my sewing machine. I'm so thankful for his help.

So now we are all caught up!! What do you think about my pictures?? ☺
