Now I fell off and a few of these days due to having the flu in my home. One tyke got sick then the rest of us followed right after. I was one busy momma. So my re-cap is going to missing some of these prompts. And that is the cool part of these challenges. They are fun and if you miss one, no big deal. Just pick up when you can.

Day 12: Red, White, Pink ; Dolphin

Day 13: Hearts ; Chameleon

Day 14: Valentine ; Anteater

Day 17: Work; Panada

Day 18 Texture; Aardvark

Day 19: Obsession; Opossum

Day 20 Childhood

Day 24: Button

Day 25: Measure twice cut once; Shark

So now we are somewhat caught up with today. I am so excited to share that both #creativedaily and #dailyzoodle will continue into March!! That means you can join right in!! Lu & Ed and Squshies have released the new prompt graphics!! So exciting! It is so much fun to see ALL the different photos and drawings. I hope to see yours in the mix! With Doll my Heart

For the month of February, Ashley from Penelope's Eclectic Closet has a wonderful line of limited edition dolls available which will benefit charity. She's here as a guest to tell you all about it! Welcome Ashley!

When Stella was born, she had a small hole in her heart. The tiniest imperfection in an otherwise perfect newborn. We feel so fortunate! Her issue was minor. Just a tiny heart murmur needing a couple cardiologist appointments (At Primary Children’s hospital) during the first year of her life to monitor it. In Nov 2013 we got awesome news that her hole had closed and she was good as new! This isn’t even something that would affect her during the rest of her life. We’re so lucky and so grateful for the health of our kids!

February is National Heart Month, and Penelope’s Eclectic Closet will be celebrating by offering one limited-edition doll every day for the 28 days in February. These Heart dolls have the same charm as Penelope’s Eco Friendlies (dolls made from scraps of Penelope Original Dresses to keep extra bits and pieces out of landfills) but have a sweet little heart sewn to their chest! I'll be donating 20% of the proceeds from sales of these dolls to the wonderful folks at Primary Children's Hospital!

You can find Penelope's Eclectic Closet on Storenvy, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, or contact via email.

If you are interested in donating directly to Primary Children's Hospital, read more about it here.

Thank you so much Ashley for sharing your 'heart' and the way you are helping out others with us! What a wonderful gift!

M is for...

Today's #FMSPhotoaDay prompt is 'M is for..."

M is for Mother...making a difference in her children's lives. M is for morning time, where the sweet smiles make it bearable. M is for the 'maybe' of the day. M is for mattering to you spouse...but that is all deep and Meaningful.

So M is for... Monsters!!! Sock Monsters to be precise.

These sock monsters are eco-friendly and fun to play with. Each is made from random sock pieces, random ribbons, felt left overs, and mismatched button eyes. Each is a one of a kind and in no way ever made again. I love that!! So today go be a monster for the day!

#Handmade makes me #happy!

I am a firm believer of supporting my fellow crafters. Just like me, they put hard work into their creations. And I know love is in every stitch, paint-brush stroke, and design.  Each of them are a great support and always so helpful to me. I am sharing a few of my favorites (there are more then just these few - if I included every single one this post would be forever long.)

I just ordered this print from Little Green Guy. I am so excited for this print. Bob Ross has always been an inspiration to me through my whole life. He always encourages 'happy accidents'. When I make something and a accident happens, I think, "it adds to the character, makes it more special and unique." Brittany, the creator of Little Green Guy, always has a positive out look and encourages me in many ways. Little Green Guy is one of my favorite #handmade shops. Visit http://littlegreenguy.storenvy.com/ to find some EPIC handmade for you.

Next these #monster #totes by Lu & Ed inspire me so much. They are fun-tional monsters. They are the perfect size for carrying books back to the library, toys on the go, or soon trick or treating. One of these totes are on my "to buy" list. And Cody, the owner of Lu & Ed, ROCKS!!! She encourages not only me but many, many others. She is always open to questions and is willing to share her experiences. She is one my main pillars of support in my crafty world. Each day, she inspires me to create farther then I could think I could. Visit http://luanded.com/ and find some EPIC Monster handmade for you.

This next #handmade shop...inspires my daughter. Violet's Buds makes the most darling hair flowers. Each day (it seems) she has another cute hair accessory that my daughter and I want. This #fall one reminds me of falling leaves and Thanksgiving dinner. Melanie, the owner of Violet's Buds, encourages me to create daily. She also has a daughter similar in age to mine and is a fellow 'Mom of children problem solving'. She has grown to a sweet crafting buddy and a Mom in my 'corner pocket'. I think every single hair clip in her shop is on my "to buy" list. I love them all!!! Visit http://violetsbuds.storenvy.com/ to find some EPIC hair #handmade for you!

These are just a few of my favorite #handmade shops. Do you have a favorite handmade shop?? I'd love to learn of more handmade places to support, please, share!

Oh What is the Mane attraction to a Sock Lion!?!

Hi. Do you remember this guy??

Well now I am going to share the mane part of my #socklions. Their mane. But first they get a face. I add two eyes, a cute little nose and a grinning mouth.

Look at those cute eyes and chubby cheeks!

Here is what I start with when I start working on the lion's mane.

A huge pile of yarns...it takes anywhere from 22 to 30 knotted yarn bundles to form a completed mane. Each knot is hand stitched on one at a time to ensure they stay on through all sorts of play. Each mane is chosen with care and texture in  mind. I believe the mane makes each lion unique and special as the #child that plays with it.

With the magic of technology, you miss all the hand-stitching work to see the finished sock lion. Do you think he is cute?? Now to think of his name...what would you name him??

EPIC Event 8/18

Hello!! Sorry been so quiet this week - I have working on an EPIC new product for Kiser Krafts. Are you following me on Facebook? (Facebook Kiser Krafts) I posted pictures and clues for my awesome fans to guess the *Surprise* Product this whole past week. There were some creative guesses! It was so much fun!! I hope to see you the next time!

In celebration of this NEW Product Line Kiser Krafts having a *FLASH* SALE!!!
The New product line is Sock Monsters!!!

The story behind the sock monster is more of a creative way to use the cut up pieces of sock I have laying around. I do not want anything to go to waste. So after several pro to-types - of which my children were the receivers of - I come to this idea of a 'sock monster'. They are made of 1 sock or several different socks. Each is unique, colorful, creative, and one of a kind. They are fun, playful, and perfect size for hands of all sizes. I am so happy with them! Each new one made, my children try to steal to play with. I hope to share the "Monster" fun with everyone else!

I do hope to see you for the BIG EVENT on 8/18, 8am - 8pm!!!

How do you like the new product line??
