With Doll my Heart

For the month of February, Ashley from Penelope's Eclectic Closet has a wonderful line of limited edition dolls available which will benefit charity. She's here as a guest to tell you all about it! Welcome Ashley!

When Stella was born, she had a small hole in her heart. The tiniest imperfection in an otherwise perfect newborn. We feel so fortunate! Her issue was minor. Just a tiny heart murmur needing a couple cardiologist appointments (At Primary Children’s hospital) during the first year of her life to monitor it. In Nov 2013 we got awesome news that her hole had closed and she was good as new! This isn’t even something that would affect her during the rest of her life. We’re so lucky and so grateful for the health of our kids!

February is National Heart Month, and Penelope’s Eclectic Closet will be celebrating by offering one limited-edition doll every day for the 28 days in February. These Heart dolls have the same charm as Penelope’s Eco Friendlies (dolls made from scraps of Penelope Original Dresses to keep extra bits and pieces out of landfills) but have a sweet little heart sewn to their chest! I'll be donating 20% of the proceeds from sales of these dolls to the wonderful folks at Primary Children's Hospital!

You can find Penelope's Eclectic Closet on Storenvy, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, or contact via email.

If you are interested in donating directly to Primary Children's Hospital, read more about it here.

Thank you so much Ashley for sharing your 'heart' and the way you are helping out others with us! What a wonderful gift!

#FMSPhotoaDay Challenge 10/4

Okay folks..."in motion" is the prompt for the day from #FMSPhotoaDay. Upon thinking about it, I could do a number of moving objects like a bird or my child running. But I tell you, this happened. Pip descovered he needed a new toothbrush!

So, he jumped into the nearest automobile (little people horse trailer) and zoomed to the store! Little Miss imagined this whole ordeal. He rushed into the 'store' bought a new toothbrush to care for his 'toof'. It was an exciting ride for Pip. And I decided, my daughter will not drive till she is thirty!

When coffee...meets Lion

First...coffee...Coffee and I have a tight, serious relationship. I craft, I drink coffee, and see socks speak. Oh yes, coffee helps me create!

Second...lions...come out of nowhere. And try to drink MY COFFEE!!

This is what happens...coffee curls a lion's mane, causes them to not sleep, and they have to touch their nose at random.

It is all very unique and strange. I have heard, "Drinking coffee will put hair on your chest." Well I have been drinking coffee for my whole life, I think, and still have NO hair on my chest. But it does effect the lion's mane.

I don't know about you, but I am worried I may have to hide my coffee!!! I'm not sure the lions in my house can handle it being in the house!!!

At least I know this little lady, Kona, loves her coffee. She even went to "tea" with Little Miss today and drank her cup of coffee during tea time. Kona has some special features: curled mane and jointed/movable arms. Coffee really helped me while I designed this pretty lady. Happy cup of joe!! ☺
