Talk to me Tuesday: Kiser Krafts style

Happy Tuesday! I thought today I would talk to all of you about me and my shop, Kiser Krafts. Yes, I filled out my own form to make sure it was a fun form. If you would like to be featured on Talk to me Tuesday, email me at kiserkrafts@yahoo.com and I can send you the form to fill out.

Tell us about you!

Hi, my name is Kelly and I am addicted to socks, coffee, and crafting. I am a wife and mother of two toddlers( a girl & a boy). They make my life full and happy. I have sewn my whole life and have loved every moment of it.

Tell us about your shop!

Kiser Krafts - making useful socks playful since 2012
My cute little shop is full of sock creations with other crafts, crochet & sewing, thrown in. I love making toys, hats, scarves, and room decorations. My shop began with a birthday gift and a friend encouraging me to sell my creations. I have loved every moment of it. Kiser Krafts helps me stay home with my two young children and feed my sock/crafting addiction.

What is your favorite thing to make?

That is a hard question...I love making everything I make! Lions are so much fun as they are texture and personality but I also love the bunnies as they come together with a huggablity and 'hoppiness'. And then I love to crochet cute hats and infinity scarves as they add warmth to life. In the end, I love to craft.

What is the hardest part of owning your own online shop?

I think the hardest part is that it is all on me. I do not have help with stock production nor do I have the internet networking help. I do it all. So time is always running short. Coffee helps that part.

Do you have any advice to share?

Advice: read, learn, find a community, and ask questions not to copy but to grow yourself. Know that it is hard work, time consuming, and well worth it. One thing I hold to is something someone told me early on in Kiser Krafts history: "Never compare your beginning to another's middle or end." - unknown Remember every journey takes it's own time and path.

I hope my advice can encourage and help you. You can find and follow me in several places. Follow my blog via GFC, Bloglovin, or by email. And you can follow my SHOP | FACEBOOK | TWITTER | INSTAGRAM | TUMBLR

So now you know a little bit more about me and my shop, Kiser Krafts! Thank you for visiting and reading!

With Doll my Heart

For the month of February, Ashley from Penelope's Eclectic Closet has a wonderful line of limited edition dolls available which will benefit charity. She's here as a guest to tell you all about it! Welcome Ashley!

When Stella was born, she had a small hole in her heart. The tiniest imperfection in an otherwise perfect newborn. We feel so fortunate! Her issue was minor. Just a tiny heart murmur needing a couple cardiologist appointments (At Primary Children’s hospital) during the first year of her life to monitor it. In Nov 2013 we got awesome news that her hole had closed and she was good as new! This isn’t even something that would affect her during the rest of her life. We’re so lucky and so grateful for the health of our kids!

February is National Heart Month, and Penelope’s Eclectic Closet will be celebrating by offering one limited-edition doll every day for the 28 days in February. These Heart dolls have the same charm as Penelope’s Eco Friendlies (dolls made from scraps of Penelope Original Dresses to keep extra bits and pieces out of landfills) but have a sweet little heart sewn to their chest! I'll be donating 20% of the proceeds from sales of these dolls to the wonderful folks at Primary Children's Hospital!

You can find Penelope's Eclectic Closet on Storenvy, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, or contact via email.

If you are interested in donating directly to Primary Children's Hospital, read more about it here.

Thank you so much Ashley for sharing your 'heart' and the way you are helping out others with us! What a wonderful gift!

A Family and Hair bow

Happy Day to you!!! I'd like to share with you some EPIC gifts I have ordered this past Cyber Monday.

A family. Landon's Toy Box makes the most adorable Peg People!! I was able buy two exclusive 2013 elves and this small Nativity play set. I am super impressed with all of them! And both of my children enjoy them. I can see more peg people in my families future.

A Hair bow. Violet's Buds makes the most adorable hair accessories. And this bow matches the dress I am currently sewing for my daughter. I am so pleased with the quality and care that is obvious. She really makes wearing a flower in your hair wonderful!!

If you are looking for a family or a bow - these are the two places to go to. Both have great customer service and fast service! Very personable!
